Dolphin Lessons (5 - 9 years)
From Basics to Breakthroughs
The Dolphin levels are for children aged 5 to 9 who are comfortable in the water and ready to build on their basic skills with stronger survival techniques and early stroke development. These 1-hour private lessons are designed to develop both safety and skill, with a balance of structured practice and engaging challenges to keep swimmers motivated.
In this level, students work on crucial life-saving abilities like treading water for longer periods, rolling onto their back to breathe, recovering to a safe position after submersion, and using strong, coordinated kicks for propulsion. Breath control is emphasized as swimmers learn to stay relaxed and efficient underwater. With the basics in place, swimmers begin refining techniques for front crawl, back crawl, and elementary backstroke, preparing them for more advanced strokes and endurance swimming.
